HatchPoint was created from firsthand experience working with growing teams that were hiring without clear structure. Fernando Tamayo saw founders and managers making critical people decisions based on urgency rather than clarity—leading to inconsistent hiring, unclear expectations, and difficulty measuring success.

Through his work in recruitment and people operations, Fernando identified a common issue: most hiring problems aren’t talent problems—they’re system problems. Roles aren’t clearly defined, success isn’t measurable, and hiring decisions aren’t connected to business outcomes.
